Whisper, OpenAI’s open-source speech-recognition engine, allows smooth voice input in the app.
The iOS app is now available in Algeria, Argentina, Azerbaijan, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Estonia, Ghana, India, Iraq, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Lithuania, Mauritania, Mauritius, Mexico, Morocco, Namibia, Nauru, Oman, Pakistan, Peru, Poland, Qatar, Slovenia, Tunisia, and the UAE.
After starting in the US, OpenAI expanded ChatGPT to 11 more nations this week. Albania, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Jamaica, Korea, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Nigeria, and UK.
iOS users may now disable chat history, giving them control over their app discussions and data.
“Android users, you’re next!” OpenAI plans an Android version to reach more mobile users. “ChatGPT is coming to your devices,” the business wrote.
Shared links, a new feature that lets ChatGPT app users build and share conversations, improves user experience. These shared links allow recipients to view or copy the dialogue to continue the thread.
In the next weeks, the business will push out the shared links capability to all customers, including free users.
