Visa, a business located in the United States that provides financial services, said on Tuesday that it has ambitions to establish a global technology and product centre in Poland.
A representative for Visa stated that the hub will be the first of its type in Central and Eastern Europe. The hub is expected to hire up to 1,500 technology professionals over the course of the next several years.
Visa has stated that the center would concentrate on the development of new goods and technologies with the assistance of local expertise. The business also mentioned that Poland is becoming more widely known as a location offering highly qualified information technology workers.
Visa to establish Polish technology hub
The Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, stated in response to the project that it will assist improve Poland’s status as a new technological investment area. Morawiecki was speaking in reference to the project.
Morawiecki stated that it is “very good news that Visa, with its one-of-a-kind experience and know-how, has chosen our country from among other potential sites.”
“This will build Poland’s position as the leading location for investment in new technology,” he continued. “This is very exciting for Poland.”
