LG Electronics has introduced the 49GR85DC, its newest UltraGear gaming monitor series addition. Designed to enhance the gaming experience, this monitor features a curved 49-inch display with a 32:9 aspect ratio and an ultra-fast 240Hz refresh rate. This release follows the debut of OLED Gaming Monitors at CES.
The new gaming monitor, the 49GR85DC, features a 1000R-curved 49-inch Dual QHD resolution panel. This indicates that the screen displays crisp, vibrant images that occupy the user’s visual field.
The monitor’s 240Hz refresh rate and 3000:1 contrast ratio contribute to a more responsive and immersive gaming atmosphere.

In addition, the monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified and has a maximum luminance of 1000 nits, resulting in vibrant colors and profound blacks. The monitor’s borderless design allows users to remain focussed on their work or game.
In addition to gaming, the monitor supports multiple multitasking modes, such as Picture-in-Picture (PIP) and Picture-by-Picture (PBP). PIP mode displays the content of another device in a floating window, whereas PBP mode functions with multiple windows simultaneously.
The monitor supports connectivity via DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1, allowing for a fluid 240Hz Dual QHD gaming experience. The monitor also features LED Hexagon backlighting and DTS Headphone:X support, which enhances the gaming experience via tethered headphones with advanced three-dimensional sound.
