Twitter unveils corporate transformation strategy 2023

According to Reuters, Twitter CEO Linda Yaccarino and owner Elon Musk’s investor presentation prioritizes video, artist collaborations, and commerce partnerships to revitalize its revenue beyond digital advertising.

An anonymous source told Reuters that Twitter’s CEO, Linda Yaccarino, who took over on June 5, informed investors about the company’s preliminary discussions with political and entertainment figures, payments services, and news and media publishers during a private investor call.

None of the major advertising holding businesses advise their clients to stop spending on Twitter, according to an investor presentation slide.

Warner Bros., Mondelez, McDonald’s, and Walmart have resumed advertising on the site.

Following Elon Musk’s October takeover of Twitter, several advertisers left the network due to worries that their ads might appear alongside inappropriate content. The company’s massive layoffs and cost-cutting caused this worry.

Elon Musk’s hire of Linda Yaccarino, a former NBCUniversal ad sales chief, signaled Twitter’s continued focus on digital advertising.

According to GLAAD, Twitter is the worst social media network for LGBTQ users, particularly transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people. The organization said Twitter is the weakest at combating hate speech and harassment.

Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Twitter failed GLAAD’s annual Social Media Safety Index. Twitter was the one outlier.
